Selecting only the left or right channel

I cant for the life of me figure out how to select just the right or left channel and apply effects to it by itself in cubase sx. I know you can export the file as seperate left and right files and bring them back in, but that seems a little tedious to me.

In CEP you could do it, is there any way to do it in cubase?
