Alesis DM4/5 chokable cymbols possible?

Hi,

ive heard that these modules do not support chockable cymbols, but theres a wotk around involving using two triggers on the cymbol, could someone please explain this proccess to me as well as how chockable cymbols work in general as im not quite shure how this proccess works

You could assign a trigger to send a MIDI "note off." You'd hit the "cymbal", then hit the "note off" to choke it. But I don't think you could do it directly with the DM5. You'd need some kind of external MIDI controller like the drumKAT.

Just one more thing, does anyone know if the roland TD-3 is choke compatible ? thanks in advance
