Useing VST on SX

Hi guys,
Im a 16 year old with a verry small but growing recording studio.
I mostly use Cubase SX....AND I LOVE IT.....
It might just be better than bobble rap....

But i cant get the VST insterments to work iv read the manul about it over and over and i just cant get it right.
i know im doing it some what right cuz it will act like its recording but after i click stop the line iv just recorded disapers..............
So is ther any one who can help me with this?
