Yamaha MG Pre amps vs. DMP3 & VTB-1

I was just wondering if the quality of the Yamaha MG series pre-amps are of similar quality to the Audio Buddy DMP3, and the VTB-1. . . ? If mixing with a Yamaha MG12/4, . . would it be considered an upgrade to purchase one of these mic pres, or is it just a waste of money

Don't know about those other preamps, sorry, so can't answer your question.

I can say though that the preamps on my MG12/4 are pretty darn quiet
