connecting 8 jack input mixer thing

hi all im new here and to cubase so im sure you'll be shocked at some of my stupid questions, so here goes.
ive got this 8 channel basic mixer which is not the one on this link but pretty much exactly the same http://www.midi-classics.com/h/h26229.htm
mine says 4 channel stereo 8 channels mono.
anyway i was wondering how the hell do i connect this to my sound card and then select it for use on cubase as its going to be used to plug 7 drum mics into. i had a go at were i thought it might plug in but it just made this nasty buzzing sound.
can any one help??

Question for you. How many tracks do you expect to be able to record AT ONE TIME? Not total tracks in a project but total tracks to be recorded in one pass.

im not sure what you meen but, all the drum mics will not be recorded as a track for each drum eg one track for snare, one for kick ect. itll be one audio track for the drums if thats what you mean?
is there better ways of doing it,
im recording guitar and bass aswell

The reason I ask is that card looks like it only has two analog inputs. It also has a S/PDIF input but that would require that you have an additional A/D converter of some kind. All of this is really here nor there since you say all will be collapsed to one track. Just patch from the mains output of the mixer to one of the line inputs on the card. Whatever you submix will record as one track.
