Is there a generic lightpipe card??

Hello. The adat has the fiber optic to go into that expensive board that they sell for your computer. Is there a generic version of this card??

Hi
Frontier design has some great cards to choose from
http://frontierdesign.com/
8 channel adat = wavecenter/PCI
16 Channel adat = Dakota

I had the wavecenter PCI card a few years ago but my computer at the time wasn't powerful enough to use it properly so I sold it. I'm looking at the Dakota now for my new computer.
Anyway I think this is what your looking for.

I use terratec ews 88d cards. MF has a great deal on them right now at $149 us. I have never had any problem with mine at all.

RME makes very good cards but a bit pricey.
