md recorder for reporters
I´m a reporter for a health news radio bulletin, until now we are working through phone lines.
I would like to move to more quality in recording I´ve think about use a MD portable recorder but I need some information about the use of external microphones with them. Thank´s for the help. Luis F. B. Correia Brasil |

I got the Delta mic from Reactive Sounds. Works great. Some like the Spider mic cause it gets better stereo, but you'll have more wires to deal with.

Make sure you get a minidisc with a mike in line, else you will have to get other things such as a pre-amp and or battery module and end up not being very portable. Peace

Rhode NT3
I use a Rhode NT3 mic for connecting to my portable MD. Works a treat and gives excellent frequency response. It's large, but that's because it takes a 9v PP3 battery.
Used for recording very low-level animal sounds, later cleaned up using gold wave. Legs2Sag |
