Question Acid pro sequencing question

Hello all, this is my first time posting here, lots of great stuff in here, i'm glad I stumbled upon it...

My question involvolves sequencing drum sounds in acid pro 4. Is there any kind of humanizing effect that I can use on the finished product to make it less "machine like"? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Scott

Unfortunately there is no overall effect used to humanize the drum samples you have programmed into Acid. You actually have to do it by hand, remove the lock symbol and you can unquantize them by hand. You can also adjust the gain on each drum hit or you can use a volume envelope for it. it also helps to route all the drums to a bus and apply a room reverb to the drums so they sound like they are all in the same room. Getting fake drums to sound real is almost as hard as getting fake guitar to sound real. There is always a dirty element that just isn't there. You can get close to what you're after in Acid, but it does take time. Unfortunalty there is not effect or button to make a great song in seconds either. I'm still looking for the "good" button that transforms my songs....

I would suggest using an external drum module. I just got BFD and Im using it in Acid, and it's incredible sounding. It is hands down, the most human sounding drums I've been able to generate on the pc.
