Mix Even? Want some input- Hard Rock.

How is the mix on this song? I'm thinking maybe drop the guitars a little for the verses, and kick them back up in the prechorus-chorus. Overall opinions? On anything? http://www.pushtovent.com/audio/morbid_mix_vocals.mp3

Let me know what you think.

Chris

Those guitars rip shit up, they are awsome. Try to bring out some of the "click" sound in the kick drum, maybe a little more definition to the bass as well. I think the vocals could come up a notch too, but not too much. You want to keep those guitars sounding huge. Cool song too.

The kick is a little too bassy and needs some snap. It over powers the guitars in some points too.

In general I think it's not bad but I would recommend getting some highs in more areas. The whole thing just seems to full of bass and it drowns it all out. :P

Not bad. The guitars are alright, maybe could do with a bit of tweaking them. Adding a little reverb or compressing if not already done. Vocals up.

guitars would definitely form a good basis to mix around...

get more click in the kick...

a little more Toms... maybe boost with a farly low Q around 3K

bring up the vox...

the lead is buried... it needs more presence...

lower the overheads and brighten the mix as a whole... maybe a shelving boost around 10K or 11K...

good starting point...
