Cool RoB_64 - Masicist- Cause ima Masicist

break me down, chop me up
take a knife and slice me up
cut my skin, leave me bleeding
cold, in a lump on the floor, screaming

slit my throat, cut my wrists
stab to the chest, cut out my ribs
do all you can, with your fists
i wont fall, cause im a Masicist*

take an axe, hack me in half
ill sit there and laugh
snap my neck, paralyze my ass
revenge will be sweet, i'll make you eat glass

i wont feel your pain, give me all you got
go ahead, leave me outlined in chalk
go for it, this is no trick
i wont fall, cause im a Masicist.

(Masicist is the name of my band. I know it’s spelled wrong, we did that on purpose.)

(all workings done by me and other members of Masicist are Copyright. Do not use them, or reproduce them in anyway without first getting mine or the other members consent.)

over the top? explain yourself.

if you all think were just trying too hard... then have fun. your comments don't really mean much to me anywayz. think about the style of music we play before you comment. Masicist is a heavy metal band. Very deep dark and heavy music. Possibly the heaviest music you can find that doesnt sound like a smattering of pointless individuals bashing the hell out of their instruments, well organized so to speak. Something like Slipknot... Anywayz with that in mind, still think were trying too hard? If you find that funny, your sick and twisted my friend... A lot like us...

i wonder if the blood were to drip on to your shirt, then it would be staind.

...but that's no way to make a point. the lyrics are over the top. it seems like a song written for the purpose of self-promotion, but you've gotten the whole concept of masochism wrong. there's nothing deep here. For the record, a masochist is someone who inflicts pain on himself, not someone with a high tolerance for pain. you do yourself, your band, and your listeners no service by changing both the spelling and the meaning of the word.

and when bands spell their names wrong on purpose, it's usually in a way that reads well (like 'staind' or 'limp bizkit'). "masicist" reads like "mass ih sissed". you might want to consider renaming yourself to MassaKissed. Actually, that would be a horrible idea.

But one thing I'd advise you to do regardless... anytime you write a song, say something worth saying. That goes for any songwriter, really.

Hey, everybody has to start somewhere.

Being an author of several "splatter-gore-death-metal" songs in the way past, this is a bit over the top, which is (after a fashion) to say that there isn't much depth to it.

Try to tell a story. Write something which is open to interpretation, can be read differently by each individual...

My 2 cents.

I love it when a band writes a song about themselves and even goes so far as to mention their own name!

Hey Rlbotnicky: get over yourself already.

First off, you're asking for trouble by posting your lyrics with no explanation whatsoever other than mentioning the name of your band 5 times. You didn't even ask for feedback, so what the heck do you expect everybody to think man?? You come off as smug and pretty contrived in your first post, and then you say you "don't care what anybody else thinks"? c'mon will ya!! That "slice me, dice me, whip me, bleed me" crap is tired man....you sound like an ex-girlfriend I had who wanted to be Sylvia Plath or something.

AND: you don't have to be in a heavy metal band to write "dark and heavy" music. Take a listen to the High Llamas or the song "State of Emergency" by Bjork.

Now if you really really want to be "like Slipknot" then by all means, start a Slipknot cover band... otherwise, try to be yourself that's all anybody wants nowadays.

One more thing: the people on here are right on about your band name....give it up.

In the meantime, here's a new name for your band: LIMP TRISCUIT

whaddya think? I kinda like it!

good luck in your "dark, heavy" band!!!

Adam

buahahaha

Ahh, negative feedback. Oh how I love it.

Aight. First off, No I didn't ask for feeedback. This is a forum. Why would I even post here if i didnt want people to give me feedback? What is the point in that?

Another thing, We named our band Masicist on purpose. Meaning we know it is spelled wrong, and pronounce it however the hell you want, thats what we named the band.

heh ok, this one cracked me up, a lot.

"you don't have to be in a heavy metal band to write "dark and heavy" music. Take a listen to the High Llamas or the song "State of Emergency" by Bjork."

I dont even like Bjork. And never once did i ever say that to have dark and heavy music you have to be in a hevy metal band. Read it again.

"it seems like a song written for the purpose of self-promotion, but you've gotten the whole concept of masochism wrong."

What makes you think im writing about masochism? Just because my bands name is Masicist, doesn't mean we have to sing about Masochism. Does Korn sing about corn??? And yes, its self-promotion... Why else would i mention the phrase "I wont fall, cause ima Masicist" more than once if it werent self-promotion.

"Now if you really really want to be "like Slipknot" then by all means, start a Slipknot cover band... otherwise, try to be yourself that's all anybody wants nowadays."

We aren't a Slipknot cover band. We don't wear masks... The only thing about us is we have quite heavy music, LIKE Slipknot... You missed the point.

"you guys should buy some acoustics and learn songs by the Weavers!"

Lol, right on. Sounds like a plan!

"In the meantime, here's a new name for your band: LIMP TRISCUIT"

Wtf.

"you might want to consider renaming yourself to MassaKissed. Actually, that would be a horrible idea."

I agree...

Anywayz. I hope this cleared a few things up. Cause you guys seem to have a bit of a wacked idea about my band...

Dude, you mention the word "masochist" (or masacist) several times, what else would I think you're talking about?

if you're not going to take the advice... then man, do i wish you the best of luck. please don't think that the rest of us don't have experience and that we don't have anything worthwhile to say...

I did mention my bands name is Masicist right? I figured people would be able to figure it out for themselves. Sorry. Next time i'll be more specific.

Hey I don't see much advice being givin. All i see is negative feedback. And I don't think you people have no skill, otherwise why else would you be here giving me negative feedback? I'm just clearing a few things up, cause you got the wrong idea. I appreciate anyone here who is trying to help me by giving me advice, etc... But when someone gives me a negative comment that isnt true, I want to make it clear what the truth is. But the others with their negative feedback, who actually took the time to post things like "I don't think you have to worry about anyone stealing these lyrics guy..." What exactly are they trying to accomplish here?

Anywayz. To anyone who thinks my writing skill is so full of crap that it can double as a septic tank, your entitled to your own opinion. But keep in mind, this is only a warm-up song or whatever you want to call it. I wrote this one up in roughly 2 minutes. And i'm willing to post the lyrics from one of our actual songs on here if anyone wants to see it....

Can you please be consistent? Are you or are you not singing about masochism? Seriously.

It's getting harder to combat your sarcasm with constructive criticism.

About The Band

THe only ideas that can be formed should be about the song, unless you have heard the band. I agree that the lyrical content is a little destructive and bleak but desperation always is. The song makes you think of somebody asking to be delt with in a very rude way. Try again, heavy metal doesn't mean death and destruction, you can sing about other things, and I agree that other bands have written dark and gloomy songs even though they are not considered heavy metal. Try listening to a Judy Collins song called "Polly" I believe, it takes you to the desert where a guy has brought his girl friend to a grave that he dug the night before and then he kills her by stabbing her thru the heart and he ends up burring (?) her. So don't get "pigeon holed" into one frame of mind, you'll be more successful in the long run.

Good Luck
