**edit- what kind of intergration can i get with this ? ( is there another with more inputs around ? ) - Delta 66
alright, i've been reading alot of the site lately but i still really cant figure out what i need, or how it works to do this. I have a computer, fairly fast. and im buying this sound craft e-12 e series mixer here now bassicly my question is, how do i intergrade the mixer into the pc, (what type of hardware and software )... i've been to studios before, and the computer and mixer seemed to almost be one... he slide a slider on the board, and it moved on the pc screen. i realize this may be a little dumb of me, but i asked anyway. just trying to be able to figure out how my computer is going to ' read ' all the things pluged into my mixer. so that while recording say 5 diffrent tracks at one time through my mixer, its on 5 diffrent tracks on my pc..get it ? thanks Last edited by alecmcmahon; 07-14-2004 at 09:24.. |

1) a studio with an analog console that has an automation system. The computer is not actually recording audio just controlling the fades. 2) you were at a studio with a control surface wich is not a real console but more like a giant mouse that controls the computer software To get into your computer the way you described you are going to need a multi channel audio interface and some come of software in the computer to record the audio. There are tons of options for both of the above
