Mesa Boogie 50 Caliber Head

I found one of these recently and picked it up for cheap. (I had one years ago on the road with cover bands). Does anyone have one, and if so, what would you recommend for preamp tubes as a replacement? (Besides Boogie tubes).

get the electro harmonics 12ax7eh, i love them i have them in all of my tube amps. they made my soldano even more fire breathing than it already was, and sound amazing in my ampeg V2 as well. if you want a really smooth overdrive they will probably work perfect.
they do start to break up extreemly fast however (about 3 on my soldano, remember it goes to 11, ha). but the 50 cal is a killer dirty amp and the EH tubes would make it that much better
If you want a clean punchy sound, go JJ/Tesla.
