Just Cant get the basics right!!!

Heya, in case you cant tell, I'm a new user but am getting frustrated already!!!

I've taken a couple of samples, timestretched (Wavelab) them, chopped (ReCycle) them and imported them into Cubase - but they dont seem to fit - its just doesnt sound right (as though the loop starts too quickly)....

I'm pretty certain this is my error and it all comes with experience, but I'm just checking too see if I'm missing some fundamental stuff here... Can anyone help??

Cheers, LeeBoy

playit is an unknown quantity at this point
Are both matched on BPM or something else?

Is your tempo track faster or slower in that part of the song than elsewhere? That's the only thing I can think of right off.

After the import your sample fits the bars on the screen doesn't it?

As far as I can see, they are both matched on bpm, and I have only one tempo in my song, which also matches. It fits the bars on the screen as well....

So tat means Ive chopped it/taken the original sample wrongly I guess!!! D'oh!
