Cubase SE vs SX

I've searched the board, and found several comparisons of SX and SL, but not much on SE.
I've tried the demo of SX (1.02), and I really like it, but it's just a tad out of my price range. I have no problems, though, dropping ~$150 for SE.

However, is SE really that different from SX? I'm not a production studio, just a guy in a basement looking to make some noise.

Aside from the track limitations (not that 48 will really limit me), and the only 1 level of undo, what else is missing in SE? Does it come with any VST/VSTi's?
All I'm really concerned with is the 'look & feel' of it. Are the interfaces similar?
Or is SE more like the old 5.1VST?

Thanks,
Bill

Haven't used SE, but only one level of undo would definitely be an important point for me. I use the undo function a lot

Here is a comparison chart for all of the Cubase versions

http://www.steinberg.net/WebVideo/S...ison_en_35K.pdf

Some of the obvious differences are the amount of plugins per track, the amount of tracks (48), the amount of inputs (8) and the single undo.

Also SE does not use the same audio engine that SL and SX uses, which to me was an important decision for me to upgrade from VST 5 to SX 2.

Thanks for the replies.

When you say it doesn't "use the same audio engine", could you explain a little? Is it limited to certain sample / bit rates? Does it not record audio as good as SX / SL?
I know the VST engine is different, it's only 2.0 on SE, as opposed to 2.3 for SX. That's not that big a deal for my needs.
