SCRAPS AND CRUMBS OF KINDNESS
© Buck Stewart / June 2004 Feeling weak and lost So empty and alone How long can I last With nothing but The past I tried to let you know The hunger that I feel But you no longer give The love I need To live (Chorus) Scraps and crumbs of kindness Are all I get from you I can’t make it thru on Scraps and crumbs of kindness What can I do? (Bridge) Did I let you down? I wish I knew, I try to guess This is so hard to swallow, I stay confused, I can’t rest Our love has grown stale, I feel so out of place If you know why, you won’t tell me to my face You just persist Pretending with... Scraps and crumbs of kindness Are all I get from you I can’t make it thru on Scraps and crumbs of kindness What can I do? Feelings have been seared Love’s recipe is in the trash All the choices left to me End up with You free And now my plate is bare My cup is full of salty tears You can sweep the floor With my soul Evermore Scraps and crumbs of kindness I can’t do this anymore Please no more Scraps and crumbs of kindness I’m sorry, please No more Last edited by Bucks; 07-13-2004 at 09:50.. |

That's cool Bucks. If it were me, I'd use something (possibly the bridge) to tell a little more story - perhaps something you did wrong that led to this, for example, or some way in which she had changed. Just put a little more meat on why it's come to this.

Thanks Gary. Others have said similar things. I'm going to get into the music part and maybe that will bring some additions.
Thanks again |
