Question first time recording

Hi folks,

I planned to buy a simple hd-recorder but yesterday I got an offer to buy the Fostex VF-160 + cdwr for a real hot price (about $400), so I did. Now this machine seems pretty complicated for a total dummy like me. Anyone who can suggest any good book to start with (digital recording starting from zero).
Or good links to get started. For now I only like to record about 2 guitars en some voices (+ keyboard)

Thanx!...btw, nice site!!

wizzz

Yup, it's complicated, mostly because of the amazing editing capabilities of the current crop of standalones. I feel your pain. I figured out how to use the Roland VS1824CD. I recommend humbly that you begin by reading the freaking manual. Then take more specific questions to the Fostex Forum. If you don't have a manual, get one. You will not figure it out without one.-Richie
