tascam 488mkII portastudio urgent!!

hi all new kid here. i have a tascam 488mk II and have been having great fun recording and stuff on it. was wondering though is there a way that i can take the tapes that i have made and transfer them to cd format?? and if so how would i be able to do this? thanks all in advance.. this is a really cool forum so glad i found it!!

I have a 488 and even though I now have access to a computer I still mix down to a consumer standalone CD recorder. Mine is a TDK and you can get them for around $200.00 bucks or so. It's operates like a component cassette deck for your stereo system only it burns cd's instead. Until I get a dedicated computer (not my wifes laptop) and a DAW setup I'm sticking with my TDK, it works just great for me. Just read the manual and be aware of your input levels.
