Question Masterlink recording problem

Using the Masterlink 9600 to transfer LP to Cd's. Record levels peg into the max on the Stereo Level Meters when recording LP from turntable to hard drive. Any suggestions as to how to rectify this situation since there is no control on the Masterlink to regulate input levels. Using a VPI Aries Scout turntable with 10 x 4 Dynavector MC Cartridge and a Musical Fidelity X-LPS v3 Phono Stage.

Thanks to anyone who can help

Sounds like you're overloading the -10dBV inputs (which I'm assuming you're using because of the phono-type connectors).......

Get a phono-to-XLR (male) adapter and use the +4dBu inputs, which can handle about 12dB more signal level than the -10dBV inputs............
