mixing down from midistudio 688

Hey all,

I've got a few tunes recorded on a Tascam 688 ready to be mixed down, and I'm trying to figure out the best way to do it. If I get Acid or cakewalk or a similar computer based recording program, can I transfer the tracks from the 688 into the computer without losing quality? Is there a better way to do it? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
