how to set up Snare's EQ and compress

IN a way,
without increased the volume of other stuff but snare.....
avoid of "Mezzy" sounding
try to keep snare drum tie but clean....
what EQ and compress setting u guys suggest?
Bass kick is best in 2:1 ratio and boots on 3K above and 300 cut off ...how about snare?
