tuck is on a distinguished road
I want to know everything.

Will everyone you knows quite a bit about 1/4" reel to reel recording tell me everything they know about recording on reel to reel vintage recorders like the best settings, ways to keep the machine in good condition, set ups, and what to do for best the best sound. I just want to have ideas from other people. I mostly want to know things about Teac A-1200, Stellavox Sp7, and Uher report-5000 recorders.

"Everything" is a big word. There are no "best setting", but how to clean your machine and keep it in shape has been mentioned here many times before in earlier threads. You might try a search on cleaning and demagnetizing.

Arrow Use fresh and new tape, not old tape, which can cause problems.

Record with your meters averaging "0VU", with peaks no higher than "+3VU".

Clean and demagnetize often.

Keep your fingers, long hair & loose jewelry away from spinning reels.
