some questions about sf7

hi , i am new here as far as posting but have been looking at these forums for some time now .

i am curious as to whether or not i can get the same quality audio to video end product as nuendo if i used sf7 and acid (for the surround aspect) . i just recently built my studio with the goal of doing video game soundtracks and popping out some break beats and such along the way .

i want to know the answers before i open cubase sx2 and kill my chances of returning it .

if sound forge can do what nuendo can do for a much cheaper price i am thinking of going that route .

can i rewire reason into sf ? can groove agent be used with sf since it is a steinberg product ?

thanks in advance and sorry for the uninformed questions - i would rather ask questions than read a ton more reviews that never touch on exactly what i need to know . i have asked serveral stores and they tell me the same end product can be reached but most were not sure .

i should add i have been out of digital recording for 10 years and just got back into it a couple months ago so , be gentle with me !!

You may want to have a look at Sony Vegas 5 and see if that will fit the bill for you.

Sound Forge is a stereo editor, not a multitrack recorder like Cubase or Nuendo.
