Here's the latest on the Comp CD (deadlines)

Ok folks. Things are not moving along nicely, and I take much of the blame myself. I've been busy & relatively unmotivated during my free time and have to some extent neglected the project. I'm sure with a lot more proding we could probably be closer to being finished.

With that being said....

I have decided to extend the song submission deadline to Friday, March 31. That's three weeks from the original deadline. Let's also say that the deadline for submitting liner notes and the extra information to be placed on the CD will also be the 31st. Why?

1) I haven't gotten any emails from anyone stating that they have uploaded. Therefore I'm assuming that nobody has done it.

2) Dragon is working on something and I haven't heard a lick about it in a long time. It can't possibly be finished by Friday at this rate.

3) I have been slow with providing upload/mailing information. There are four of you who need Ed's mailing address. I'm sorry I haven't gotten it to you but I'm working on a new computer and haven't pulled my information off the old one yet. I also haven't posted Ammeth's FTP address which is really bad on my part.

4) I'm working on something cool that might make the submission process much simpler.

5) I still haven't gotten ahold of S8N.

6) The 31st is just a nice sounding date for a deadline

So, let's really try to make the 31st deadline. Agreed?

I thought it was obvious, since I volunteered to download, burn and mail, but now that I read this, well- I'll just state that I'll be mailing my submission directly to Ed on CD.
I've already got his address.
What is the deadline for that group of submissions? And let's get one iota closer to nailing it down. Postmark on the mailed submission must be: (enter date here).

Man this is the best news Ive heard in a while! I have been busting my ass trying to get this song finished by tomorrow since I am going out of town. Now I can relax for a week! 4 days straight sitting in this tiny space staring at the computer is very bad!

The long winded post I just left got hashed. I guess I'm glad it did.

There is one frickin deadline. March 31st. But there is nothing I can do to "enforce" it. As of right now I haven't heard much of anything from anyone on what the hell they're doing as far as submitting their music. If we were to go by the Friday deadline then the CD would be pretty scarce.

Anyway, I'm in a bad bad mood. Maybe I'll elaborate after cooling down a bit.
