Who has really poor opinions of the D6?

Anyway, I haven't tried it on bass cab (I rarely use cabs to record bass), but it kills on kick. Stomps the D112, IMO.

Who are these people who don't love D6? Good kick mic. I prefer the D112 on bass cab or double bass, however. I expect D-6 would rock on bass cabs, but I've never tried it.-Richie

The D6 might be a nice complement to the typically bass cab that has a huge hump in the midbass (i.e. Eden). The D6 is very scooped which is the opposite of the pattern response of the Eden.

I really want a D6 for only kick, so I continue to use ATM25 for bass cabs. Fat and beautiful. And linear. My Audix D4 does well on bass cabs also. Same as the ATM25, the D4 is pretty linear in response.
