Arrow Fine!... but,... what IS it?

Please give us a HISTORY lesson, if you would be so kind!!

I've seen the Fostex 2000 before, and what I'd gathered, was that it was a first-generation, hard disc recording and editing system,... quite advanced for it's time, but rather antiquated in today's terms.

Pls give us more details, if you have time, for the general enlightenment of the masses,... myself included.

Thank you & good luck!!

[EDIT]: SORRY, but your Ebay listing is quite enough detail, and I've read the entire description. The only thing, is this POST will last online forever, and the EBAY listing is viewable only 90 days after close of auction. For the record, if you dropped your description, in total, on this board, it would live until bbs eternity, and would enlighten us much longer than the short lived Ebay listing, although well written and comprehensive.

One other request, is could you attach a picture of the Fostex 2000?

Thanx. If you have the time, that is. I don't want to seem like a pest!

/DA

[EDIT 2]: The most interesting part, to me, is the 16/24 bit Scalable resolution, that's a basic 18-bit format,.. [???]. Is that a correct interpretation?

Thanx, again!
