jittery track while digital copying between ADATs

While making a digital copy from one ADAT to another, track one on the recording ADAT was receiving white digital noise (registering LOUD on the meter, but only appearing as a low-level clipping sound through the monitors. I remedied this by shutting down and powering up while holding down REC and PLAY (initialize).

Just thought I'd share this with anyone who might have/will encounter this problem.
