what is the bext drum mic kit by shure?

ok, i bin lookin round shures website, and came across the drum mic kits. no doubt there good value for money, cheaper than buying each mic seperatley otherwise there would be no point in having them in kits? so the quesiton is, which kit, is best value for money and for what you get? may seem like im being cheap... but not much money means cheapest method possible is generally the best! your views would be appreciated!..ok

1) DMK57-52 Comes With...
3 SM57 Mics For Snare/Tom Use
1 Beta 52 For The Kick
3 rim mounts for the snare/tom mics...
all for $861.90

2) PGDMK4 Comes With...
3 PG56 Mics For Snare/Toms
1 PG52 For The Kick
3 Rim mounts for The Snare 'n' Tom Mics
4 XLR-XLR Cables 15ft
$552.55

3) PGDMK6 Comes With...
3 PG56 Mics, Again For Snare/Toms
1 PG52 for The Kick...
2 PG81 for overhead use
3 rim mounts again
6 XLR-XLR cables all 15ft again...
$975.14

its probably quite hard to answer this question, but personal opinions on the set most worth getting would be great cheers guys

Where are you shopping? Those prices are insane.
I've seen the DMK57-S2 for $499.99 new.
The PGDMK4 for $299.99 new
and the PGDMK6 for $399.99

Not even including the prices on Ebay.

But to answer your question, in my experience the DMK57 is the best package. Get some good overheads, and you're good to go.

Those prices you listed were probably the list prices. They retail for much less than that.
