tascam us428 no midi control

help..have cubase sx v1.06 and tascam us428 and have set up cubase to read my tascam us428 everything works except I have no midi control with cubase and tascam faders.when midi track is selected. when I select audio tracks everything works perfect..any suggestions?..no new updates for cubase sx version 1.6 was the latest and I do have the latest updates for tascam us 428.

Are you sure you set up your midi to come through the tascam in the windows sound menu that's the only thing I can think of I have the 428 but I don't use the midi on it so I can't be of to much help with that

yes ,and I have also tried tacam us428 with cakewalk sonar and midi and audio worked perfect, ?? its no real big deal as I use it for mostly audio too but having the control over midi would be nice..thx for the reply

Are you using a MIDI hub by any chance? I had the same problem with my 122, and once i unhooked the hub, reinstalled the 122 drivers, everything worked great.

I have midi in & out from my synth to midi port 2 on tacam us 428
I have midi in & out from a drum machine to midi port 1 tascam us428
usb cable from tascam to computor
window sound options to read tascam midi
I have win xp and a soundblaster audigy platinum card and have my line outs from tascam are in the audigy card line in
cubase device set up to read tascam us428 in all options for midi
??
all audio/faders / trasport/jog wheel work perfect

taking a long shot when u set up your 428 in the windows sound options did u also change your midi control to the 428

midi playback tascam us 428 control
am I missing something?

nope that's everything in the software you use did you set your midi ins outs to the 428 just like you had to do the recording and playback

Go To Control Panel-Sounds And Devices and check and make sure everything is set for the 428 you will see where it says midi and what device it is set on as well as your voice recording playback and all of that just go through the different tab buttons and check it make sure everything in the tabs that does the audio features is set to the 428 and then make sure the midi in the program is set up by the 428
