motu 828/896, presonus digimax question...

hi everyone
i'm in a bit of a dilemma regarding my pre's and converters. i currently use a motu 828mkII and a presonus digimax 96k (fed to the motu via lightpipe). for my "main" preamp i use a langevin dual vocal combo, also fed into the motu.

i am considering upgrading and simplifying my setup by selling the motu and the presonus and replacing them with a single motu 896hd. my question: would this really be an upgrade? specifically, are the pre's and converters on the 896 as good as or better than the converters and pre's on the digimax?
