Stereo track on MR-8?

My Mixer has LEFT and Right outputs. Do I have to use two track on the MR-8 and the combine them to make a stereo wav file? Or can I plug 1 cord into the headphone jack into the MR-8, will it be stereo or Mono?

the MR8 has one mono input for A and one for B. Record on 2 tracks 1&2 or maybe 7/8 for a 2 track simultaneous recording where each input is directed to it's one correcponding track exclusively. Headphone output is meant for headphones, use your line outs to line ins.

mr8

if you want to record stereo, both line outs from mixer to two inputs of mr8, if you want ot record mono, use a line out from your mixer, to the mr8, if you use headphones from mixer, you will need an adapter, should be a better way then headphones out of mixer , what kind of mixer do you have
