new to this BBS, question about effects

I have been using guitar tracks pro for a while, and would like to add some synthesizer sounds and rhythm tracks similar to Acid. However I cannot find a "small" version or freeware. I have no need for full blown synthesizer or loop machine. Just want to add some very basic "sounds"
Thanks

Are you looking for loops (pre-recorded audio-files) or are you looking for a software synth?

I am not interested in pre-recorded material.
I am interested in producing simple synth sounds
These would be used to compliment acoustic guitar music - such as a single note or perhaps two. It would not be melodic, just provide an "airy" or "spacious" background tone in key. For rythm, I only need a simple sound set, perhaps pre-recorded, of common drum sounds. This would be used along with acoustic guiar, so a simple beat would suffice.
Thank you

I think you need MIDI and DXis for that, and as far as I know, that's not supported by Guitar Tracks...
