Masterlink CDR Tray Help

Hello and thanks in advance. I have the Alesis Masterlink and when I press the eject button for the CD recorder, the CD tray bumps up against the door but the CD Door don't fully open. It opens maybe a 1/4" and I have to physically open the CD door by hand. Is this a problem with the door itself or the internal CD recorder? Does this mean that the CD recorder have to be replaced and if so, which CD Recorder works best. Sorry for all the questions, thanks and Happy Fathers Day!!

Eject

Jeez...it should still be under warranty huh? You should take it to a tech and have it repaired, not replaced...unless it's under warranty. If it is, then send it back to the MFG.....
Sounds like your problem is minor and related to the gear/tooth mechanism that sends the tray out.

I think Alesis has a flat rate for repairs, no? So then it shoudn't be too expensive.

I sure it a problem with the little spring that springs the door close. They can come off of the pin and get on the other side of it and cause that kind of problem. That was the problem w/ my DVD player.
