Cool 2488 Mixing Question

I have had it about a month, and haven't had a great deal of time to work with it - and I can't find this in the manual.

I've recorded one "learn as you go" tune - am at the mixdown stage - two part question -

1 - How can you run tracks through outboard effects during mixdown.... and

2 - I have a Sonic BBE "washing machine" That has served me well over the years of analog Tascam multitrack mastering - is there a way I can run the entire mix through this?

Any help would be appreciated.

Still quite new with the 2488 myself so I couldn't fully answer your questions honestly but a good site you might want to check out is http://www.tascamforums.com . Lots of great knowledgable people over there that seem to know the 2488 in and out.

Cool

Yo MuZak negative:

I think you can use your "insert" plugs to patch in an outboard effects unit. {I found the site mentioned in the response goes to nothing. Must be an error in the URL}

But, reading another post, the inserts for a 488MKII were explained so I'm guessing you can use a TRS plug and connect your outboard FX.

As for running your mix through your BBS box, you might be able to run your RCA stereo outs into the BBS box and then out from that to whatever.

Thank you both - the TASCAM sight is most infomitive. I have been there before - but it seems to always move, since I last tried to go there with questions about my now defunct 788.

I thank you for your help. It is very appreciated.
