Mixdown to compter?

I heard that you could mixdown from a 4 track onto the computer. Can somene tell me what I need and how to do it with my x12? When I'm done, can I turn it into an mp3 or listen to it somehow? Do I need a certain program? What kind of adaptor do I need? Any help would be appreciatted. Thanks!

recording

one way would be to use a good computer sound card, and a version of n track or some other recording program , some are free.

record analog tracks to digital, and off you go....

ill bet there is an easy way, i just dont know it,
i do most things the hard way...... hahahahahah

Freak

Do you mean you want to do a stereo mix onto the PC, or do you want to transfer individual tracks?

stero

you need proper inputs on your sound card to math the outputs of your source , some sort of recording program, and a converter to make mp3's ( i like dbpoweramp)
