SR-16-saving patterns question

I am new here, hello to all! I do have one question, though. My new SR-16 is working out nicely, though one point baffles me. I am simply using the preset patterns for now, and am saving them to user slots so I can rename them and have the tempo set, so all I have to do between songs is scroll. But, I am not able to get the tempo to save w/ the pattern. Is there a way to do this, or must I change the temp each time between songs, as well?? Thanx in advance!! MT

you cant save the tempo as part of a pattern.

however you can "tap" in the tempo you want on the stop key/foot pedal to get it near where you want it
