Help Before I Break My Computer!!=/

OK..here's my deal. I record on a roland vs-1680 and then go from the optical output and do my editing on SoundForge 6.0. I've been doing this for months now and its always been fine, well here's what happened..A month ago my computer crashed and I lost everything..I re-installed SF and thought everything was going cool until I noticed that it will no longer allow me to record to 44.1(which i need to burn cds) ..it will let me record to every other sample rate except for 44.1..I tried recording to 88.2 and resampling and it drastically slows the music down..and vise versa if I try it at half of 44.1 I even got a new better soundcard to see if that was it and nada..If anyone knows what in the F*** might be wrong with either my computer or the software, please help a axeman out. also I"ve tried Kristal too and it does the same thing. ARRRRRGGGGGGGGG!!!!!
