Punch-In/Punch-Out on HD24

What is the best way to do punch-in's and out's with the HD24? I know it is not as difficult as I am making it. PLEASE HELP!!!

Use the auto-punch feature via the LRC........

Perhaps you could use a Tascam punch-in/out footpedal ....?

The HD24 manual suggest using locate points, however, with your tracks armed and running, you can HOLD DOWN play (while the tracks are playing) and then press record to do a punch in, then hit play when you want to punch out.
