VF16 or D16
This has been asked many times but not too recently
I can get either a D16 or the VF16 used for the same price, just wondering about some opinions. Thx, Steve |

Hi - do you mean D1624 ?? If so - I highly recommend it. It can record 8 audio tracks + 8 digital tracks simutaneously. I think VF can do just 2 ( but please let me know if this is not right).
I recently picked one up for NZ750 - about US400$. The D series are pure digital recorders with no onboard mixing or effects, but they make a fabulous front end for a PC based editing package. I use N-track on my PC to mix and add effects etc - which saves heaps of money and space. Cheers Chris |

The VF16 can record up to 16 tracks at the same time. 8 from analogue inputs, and 8 from ADAT. It has 8 preamps and a built in digital mixer and two effects blocks.
As far as I know the D16 is just a recorder. 'Orc |

Chrisbc - what's the NZ750, I've not heard of those. Thanks for the replies, Steve |

Oh yeah, by NZ750, I mean $750 New Zealand Dollars = roughly $400 USD. A strange currency used in this remote part of the world Cheers, Chris |
