recording problems in acid 4

hi there! well, the problem is when i record anything in the mic input or the line in input, evrerything sounds with a cshshshhshs in it, but the silence is ok, i mean, it's not a noise because of the volumes, i just don't know where it comes from, and i'm even more desconcerted because when i recorded in cakewalk pro audio 9, i could do it jus fine. if it's of any help (for you to help me), i'm running it on a p133 with win 98se, a sound blaster 16 and 64 megs of ram (and 1,7 gigs of free disk space). thank you!!!!

speakers?

This happened to me when I had my computer speakers turned up while I was recording into a mic. When I turned my computer speaker totally down that bad noise went away. Good luck
