GoMano is on a distinguished road
Sx-1le

Just wanted to post a brief overview of my experience so far with my SX-1LE. I absolutely LOVE this DAW - I had an 02R as a front end to Nuendo prior to getting the Tascam, as well as a Yamaha AW2816, and the converters in the Tascam, as well as the pre's, are way superior to the Yamaha's, in fact I haven't used the Neves (1272's) or JoeMeek pre's ONCE since I got it!- They are extremely transparent and sweet -at least to my ears. I recorded our new (#9) album on it, and I could not have been more pleased with how this thing worked. The learning curve was incidental - one day maybe, and my wife had no problem learning it herself - even my 6 year-old did some punches on it when I was tracking!- and I am looking forward to producing a 5.1 project in the Fall on it. It is just really an excellent system for the $$ - and I would have no problem sonically going head to head with any current digi DAW or other computer-based DAW's. I honestly have recorded on probably every format in existence and have made some significant albums, and I am completely comfortable continuing to do so with this Tascam SX-1LE - even while jonesing for the new Mackie DMX200 (or whatever it's called) and other new cool gear - I am content (and have decided) to keep the SX-1 for at the very least the next few years...In my opinion, it's an A-List rig - fo sho!

How much did you pay for that thing. I need to upgrade soon. Starting the long debate between protools le or a Box system.
