Unhappy Help! US 122

Just bought a US 122 and plugged it into my new HP Pent. IV, 512 Ram, computer. Tried to record something into the software that came with it, but to no avail. I think there must be some setting on my computer I need to change to make this thing tick. I also understand that I might need to download the latest driver for XP. Do I need this driver to get any sound out of my computer? I appreciate any input you have. Oh yes, one more thing, If I leave the USB plugged in to the 122, and my computer goes into screen saver mode, the computer will lock up and I have to turn the computer off and restart.

You need to go into your control panel and change all of your ins and outs to the 122

Yes , you were right , I changed those settings and and started hearing the play back. But tonight I'm not hearing it. I'm so close I can taste it! I just downloaded the cubasis VST manual, which I didn't even know exist. I'm going to read this manual tomorow, which I should have done 5 days ago. Oh well, live and learn.

one other thing that you have to do is for the software that you use which is cubase vst you have to change everything in the software as well to where your ins and outs to the 122 in the software settings and that should get you going
