Got the $99 one a couple of months ago and really like it for micing guitar cabs. So far I've used it on Line 6, Fender, Peavy and Crate for heavy metal, rock and country with very good results.

I have the silver and I really like it. I'm using it mostly live and it sounds good, the best part for me is that it hangs and reduces a need for a mic stand. Plus, it's pretty cheap.
