Recording Mic setup question

Fairly soon Im going to purchase all the equipment for my studio, mics included. i am on a bit of a budget, so cant go all out, but want to use shure mics. i was wondering, because they're listed as performance mics, if these could be used to make a good recording:

2 sm 57's
4 sm 58's
beata 52 kick
and maybe two fairly cheap condensers for the cymbals (i think theyre 179.99)

Great for live, not for recording. For the same $ you could do a lot better, do a search on favorite mic ( insert $ amount)
