Bass guitar sounds without a bass guitar

I bought a used Yamaha keyboard and have been using the "muted bass" and it sounds like a real bass on my MR-8 recordings. How do you guys get your bass sound if you're not using the real thing?

Depends on what kind of bass sound you're looking for, I guess. I'm perfectly happy with the one I get from my Hohner Key Bass 3.

I use a Korg Triton...i get some great bass sounds from it

My Roland RD150 Digital Piano has a pretty good "fingered bass". Works for me! Still thinking about picking up a cheap bass though.....

yeah my RD500 is also great.
an otherwise I tune down the pitch of a direct guitar one octave... :~
