Unhappy Sound problem with cool edit pro...

I've been using cool edit pro for months now and i have version 2.0 but today it's the first time i've got a problem with it ... i can't record anything for some reason, i use my mic as a input device and i know i have selected the right settings for it in cool edit, i hit the record button, i play something (with my bass) or say something with my voice, cool edit pro just doesn't read any sound, there are no wavey lines that go up and down when there is a sound, not even any background noise! lol the line is just flat and it keeps going

Little help with this great program please

Thanks in advance!

Did anything happen with your computer recently? It sounds like the settings for your sound card got changed.

At any rate, if you're using Windows on a PC, make sure your Windows mixer (little speaker icon) is set to record from the "line in" of your sound card, and make sure you're plugged into the line in of your sound card.

If you need more help, post back.
