cool edit real time effects, buffer increase?
im trying to apply real time effects to my mix. tracks are recorded at 24 bit 96k. my computer has 1gb of ram and a pentium 4 2.4ghz processeor, and a 140gb harddrive. I am using an echo gina as my soundcard.
once i get past like 2 real time effects everything starts to skip and freeze up. My computer clearly has enough power. Can cool edit not handle running all these things at once. do i need to raise my buffers? i tried this and nothing works. for this kind of setup, what should i have them set as? any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!! |

dam . . .I've got a much slower system and mine can run as many real time effects as I like (I've never had use for more than like . . .6), so it can't be a problem with cep . . . hows your system setup? is it cluttered with other programs not used for music production? I dunno, seems real strange to me . . .

Now when im in the edit window and i preview in effect it will take even longer for me to hear it, or if i solo a track in mixing window it will take longer for it to actually solo
