Hi everyone!
Can anyone please advise me if the Rode NT1 is good for normal studio recording? (making mp3s, or burning onto the cd) thanks a lot! |

I like mine way better than my AKG C-1000. Loads of detail, and a sound that appeals to my ear. Best of all, I like using both of them together (the AKG seems to have less bottom end than the Rode, which is good for micing acoustic guitar).

I had heard a long time ago, probably from some posts on rec.audio.pro, that the sound of Rode mics is not so consistent from mic t mic. That is, you might get a good one and you might not. Is that (still) true? Jim |

I've never been in the same room with an NT1. But I've heard a James HE recording that used one and now I can't wait to have enough money to buy one.

You'd be hard pressed to find a better mic at the $200 price range.
