I think you've got the recording down pat man. Best acoustic recording I've heard on this site bar none. Sweet piece too man. Nice playing. I didn't check out any other songs yet. Your website is very cool. I dug it. thanks.

Very nice playing! I enjoyed it. Improvement? Of course upgrading your mic from a 57 to a nice pair of small diaphragm condensers would help. Or maybe a KSM44 or a pair.. a nice quiet LD condenser. And a quiet little preamp like an FMR RNP or the little one channel Great River. To get rid of your background hiss and put a little more realism in your sound. But I like it just as it is. Great work.

Cacophonix has a little shameless behaviour in the past
I listened to Recuerdos de Ti - bloody awesome! At one point I could hear you breathing while you were playing!

Did you record the storm yourself?

Friends,

Thanks for the great feedback on sound improvements. Will take it up...as for the breathing...damn...only you guys on this great board could have picked it up!! It's a lesson to learn...be careful how to breathe in front of mic.... :-)

Thanks again

Awesome pics from Tokyo!

It has always captured me, I'm gonna go there one day. Hopefully when my band makes it BIG and the songs would be current hits there. hehe...

Peace
Jose.

Jose,

Thanks for visiting the site, man! Yeah...Tokyo was great but be prepared to cough up big money for hotel, food, etc. Not cheap...but then again, you should have a few hits by then.....

Great city to visit and see high tech stuff. Oh...lots of Yamaha stuff....in music store...but US made guitars like Martin and Taylor are kept, locked up...and very preciously treated there at the music store..behind locked cabinets with humidifiers. Yamaha stuff is hanging on walls....

thx

Hey! Oh man sorry I didnt read the post before.

But thanx for listening and I'm glad you like our music .

Well, basically we are starting out and we bought this Package that ROLAND has...which is the SI-24 Interface with E-logic Software.

It's basically the competition of Pro-Tools...but this one is much Easier and Records, in my opinion, better than pro-tools. Besides you have the ability to record 8 tracks at a time and you have 16 other to play with... Thats nasically our equipment.

Mic wise: We have some AKGs & Shure Mics.

For the drumset we use the Shure drum mic Package, and for overheads we use the AKGs. 2 overheads. and 5 for the drum parts.

We use shure sm58, Pg 58, AKG C2000b , and 1000.

For Vocals we use the same AKG c2000 thru and Audio Artworks Studio V3 Tube Preamp, and straight to the Si-24.

And thats basically it. It doesn't sound ass good because we don't have soundproof room or anything... But we try to make it sound our best.

Thats basically our hardware info.

Thanx for listening again bro! And do you think we will get to Tokyo with them ?

Peace
Jose

i had to check your song out, after reading Firesole's comment of best acoutic guiar recording, a bold statement. I would have to agree though, definately one of the best i've heard, in my very hublest of opinions. I liked how clear the treble was, yet there was still a nice presence of base.

A very cool song man. i plan on checking out more of your stuff when a get a minute.

keep playing....

Minofifa,

Thanks for the feedback!
The other songs, i'd recommend listening to the ones in yellow text as they all except one was recorded after i got my current mic and mixer. Before that, i was using a plastic soundblaster mic and motherboard audio, meaning the sound was just crap.

Thanks for listening again and for the feedback.
