Red Rover

I have the red rover (usb transport for cool edit pro 2.0)
When i'm playing a wave I want to pause it.
I hit play again and it pauses.
When I want to resume play I hit play again.
At this point the wave skips like a scratched CD.

I get this always, I've troubleshot this quite a bit.
Does any one else get this?

Have you tried hitting the pause botton again to "un-pause" the transport? this is the way that the on screen transport controls work.

there isn't a pause button.
The manual says to pause; hit play again while it's playing.
So essentially you would be hitting play to play and pause.
