I am looking to buy either a Mackie mixer (either something like the VLZ 1642 or maybe one of the ONYX mixers) or a Soundcraft mixer (probably in the M series). I want to have about 12 or so inputs with expandability for down the road. Here is my question. It seems that the Soundcraft M Series mixers have direct outs on every channel. Is this not true for the Mackies in this range? If I want to record with 6-10 mics simultaneously, can I do this with the Mackie (and still send each mic to a different track in my software)? I will be running the outs into my delta 1010.
